Join Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk Friday, July 1st, from 6-10:00 for an Independence celebration in Central Park. Art Walk has great family activities planned for the evening!

Kick off your upcoming 4th of July festivities by coming to Central Park to enjoy live music by Dakota Webber at 6:00 p.m, Scrap Metal of the 34th Army Band National Guard starting at 6:30 p.m., and Internationally Acclaimed Irish Piper Tim Britton, starting at 9:00 p.m. Browse through the vendors, have dinner in the park and spend some time with your family and friends, while enjoying this community event. Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk will also be announcing the winners of the fruit pie baking contest and Jefferson County Trails Council will have the Scavenger Hunt drawing .
Enjoy some friendly competition with your friends and family, come compete in potato sack races, tumbling towers, hula hoop and more. When you are ready to relax and enjoy the music, stop in at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center tent in Central Park and have a free root beer float.

Many of the galleries and stores around the square will be open.

Burlington Ave. ArtWalk Friday 10 – 9 “Americus Gallery will be showing Christopher Kufner’s Large Format Photography on archival paper of the Tuscan Countryside, original oil paintings, featuring Italian/French Landscapes, and Figurative works. Also, showing original oil paintings by Kim Kufner, Leaping Koi sculptures by Dale Divoky, and diochroic glass jewelry by Pedro Lujano.”

ICON Gallery- 58 N. Main St. Continuing show, ICON Gallery celebrates the beauty of Black and White Photography and the many practitioners of the art form in Fairfield and Iowa. The show opens on the 1st Friday in June, 6:30 -10:00, and runs through July 23rd . The show consists of over 80 works by 22 photographers. Rather than the usual severe minimalist presentation of photos, all the same size, all in a row, this show will be a large eclectic mix of styles and subjects, hung in a variety of ways. The artists range from local talents to top regional professionals.
